Twin Peaks is the only time I've ever loved a character that was dead. I think it's a masterpiece.
Not sure I agree with the general conclusions drawn from the observations in this video. Its a great film and one should not be too nerdy in commenting on accuracy. So Indian soldiers yes were there but obviously in that time period in a separate army in their own units. But good to show all nations were fighting in the trenches. But major problem mission itself. Senior commanders know Germans have pulled back but no one else seems to know er. Not messengers reconnaissance in force.

Laura Palmer's Character has haunted me for years. Just like everyone else, I thought, ok, a pretty dead girl, it'll be a Whodunit to find her killer in a Town of really eccentric & interesting people. Well, as the First Season progressed & you learned all these things about Laura it only deepened my pity for her & brought up further questions Ok, the kid was a VERY sexually promiscuous drug addict living a dual existence, I immediately thought molestation/abuse was driving that dark side of self destructive behavior to kill her pain. Many abuse victims blame themselves & internalize their trauma thinking the harm being done to them MUST be deserved. I came to hope Laura's Soul found the peace & love she'd been denied in life as the Second Season ended with Cooper being possessed (I thought) Show cancelled, well, I thought, that's it. Then came FIRE WALK WITH ME. I watched it hoping to learn more about Laura to comprehend what happened to her & why. I. WAS. HORRIFIED. At 28 I simply didn't comprehend what I was shown. What in the absolute F* K is this? I yelled! Some kind of freaking SNUFF FILM? Poor Laura is stalked & baited throughout, it's revealed she WAS being molested by her Father/BOB apparently since she was 12. Then she gets murdered & BOB skips merrily onto his next Vehicle I was terribly angry at the unfairness of it all. I said to HELL with Twin Peaks, David Lynch, all of it. When Season 3 premiered I passed. Then 2 weeks ago I decided to watch Seasons 1 @ 2 with a friend. Totally into it, the 2nd Season Finale still bothered me, then my Friend wanted to see FIRE WALK WITH ME. I relented (It'd been 27 years. watched it. As it ended I had tears streaming down my face. Laura Palmer went through what I call a #SoulWAR. If you read LAURA PALMER'S SECRET DIARY by Jessica Lynch (David Lynch's daughter) you realize this poor kid never had a prayer. Stalked by a demonic influence from the age of 12 she may have been robbed of her mortal life but she never let BOB in the way her Father had. BOB gave her a choice=let him in or die. She chose to die but saved her Soul. The last scene of the Movie=I LOST it. Blubbered like a baby. She had pushed everyone away who tried to love & care for her because she felt dirty & worthless even Donna & James, her closest Friends. This is textbook behavior of many victims of molestation The appearance of the Angel was a special, personal message to Laura that she WAS worthy of Love & Compassion, She wasn't an evil person, she was a VICTIM of evil. Now, watching Season 3 Episode 17 * SPOILER ALERT* as Cooper changes the Timeline imagine how I felt watching her plastic wrapped corpse blink out of existence! This means we ow have a LIVING LAURA PALMER and HEY! a LIVING Maddy Ferguson too! God, I hope there's a Season 4 (BTW those who PERCEIVE the Season 3 Finale as a defeat? Lynch tricked you. It was a VICTORY! Cooper is OUT! Laura is ALIVE. HUZZAH. Judy had better watch out.
To further support the multiple killer theory and how the camp owner is probably a killer too is the fact that jingles killed the guard and the gas station attendant and did not take their ears but he did take those keys 🔑.

I guess Im in the minority but Ive always loved the second season. The James/Evelyn thing sucked, Bens Civil War was questionable, the middle dragged a bit, and Donna became a bore but the rest was great. The first 7-8 episodes are wonderful, and the final 2 episodes are some of the best of all 3 seasons. Especially the finale. There wasnt anything like it before and hasnt been anything like it after. Except maybe episode 8 of the return. FWWM is great, too, but I actually prefer the first 30-40 minutes. Would love a continuation of that. Speaking of, The Return is amazing and rivals season 1 easily.

I look at Dale and Laura's reaction as their minds sort of snapping at the influx of new memories mixing with the old memories after changing the timeline. Laura relived her death and Dale just gained a ton of new memories from the last 25 years.
