Experimenting on himself, he succeeds in making himself invisible. Now, he is free to do whatever he wants, take what he wants, hurt who he wants. How can the average man fight against something he can't see? Personally, I felt sorry for the guy. At the same time, I can relate to Kent's decision. The story is eerily good, with a hard-to-like main character. Wow, he's mean! The reading is wonderful. My biggest beef is that there is a background noise through almost all of the sections. Also, the section/chapters aren't stated at the very beginning of the recording, and the title tags are so long that it takes a long time to display which chapter I'm on when listening on my MP3 player. (These are all nit-pick technicalities that LibriVox has since changed, but this was recorded before those changes. ) It's definitely a worthwhile listen, despite the nit-picks.
