Now, I've recently cut contact with my mom because I've come to realize she will never change her narcissistic ways, though I won't deny there is another reason why I cut contact completely because I know she would deny it. I've known she's had something spiritually attached to her for years and it is, without a doubt, the most ghastly bastard I've ever come across when it comes to spirits. This is going to be long and I do have a question after you read all of this, I wish I could say this was all just the work of an overactive imagination but when multiple people can confirm all of this fucking crazy shit and still talk about it like it was yesterday... I'm going to accept that it wasn't just something I imagined. How did it all start? How did I find out? Well, remember that movie in the 90's called "The Craft"? Well, when I was 6 years old, because of this movie, my mom and her friends started "practicing" witchcraft. I say it with quotes because I am Pagan myself and even I know better than to play with things you don't have knowledge of. She started off with well-intentioned blessings and dabbled in some folk-lore magic but, things started to spiral out of control fast. My "birth giver" really had not a clue what the hell she was messing with, let alone what the hell she was "communicating" with, she'd use random objects and crap to reach out to spirits basically. She believed anything that would respond and move an object pretty much. Once we moved into our own home things got more active and weirder. The one thing I recall the first week we moved in was a spirit that used to slam our basement door and stomp down the stairs. At first, I thought it was my parents having a fight but, they were always sleeping in their room and awaken by this occurrence. The other thing that happened when we first moved in was that the dining room chairs moved on their own. A chair would be pulled out or chairs would all be pushed in if we left them out. The one thing that really freaked my entire family out was leaving the chairs pushed in at the table and after leaving the room for a few moments we heard the scuff of a chair on the floor and when we looked, the chairs were rested on top of the table face down... like they do in bars when they close up for the night. That's not all that happened. When my parents were yelling at my brother and I, we heard someone literally yell, "SHUT THE FUCK UP" from the basement. I honestly don't blame the ghost really... lol. Another occurrence that happened was the night my brother and I complained of smelling rotted meat and decay. We didn't understand it but, it smelled rotten and musty, then... we heard what sounded like a dog fight happening in the basement. We only had one dog at the time and she ran to hide because she heard it. No other dogs were in the house, other dogs lived in the neighborhood but, none of them could have been big enough to make any other sound besides a yip yap bark. Those were just the most notable situations that happened, besides hearing small children singing old schoolhouse songs at 4 or 5 in the morning and we were the only kids on that block at the time. Every once in a while you could hear a growl, not a dog growl, but a gravely gritty deep growl damn near in your face. Fast forward to when my parents divorced. My gram lived next door and my mom and I moved in, wouldn't you fucking know... that house just so happened to be haunted too. In gram's house, you could hear a woman crying around 11 at night almost every night. Something liked to throw shit around, it got bad to the point my dad had to keep me at his house where shit seemed to be at half activity there(his house was just plain haunted anyway). My mom asked my dad to keep me at his house since a bowl had been thrown at me twice. I was never hit with a bowl and no one was ever in the room but twice I had a bowl thrown at me and that damn thing exploded when it hit the wall. Mom got with someone else eventually and moved to another town close by and gram moved in with her. That house and the next one after that were *gasp* haunted as fuck again. Who would have thought it would happen again? What happened in those houses? The man that became my stepdad got pushed downstairs and later got the living shit scratched out of him. My mom was pushed downstairs with her, at the time, newborn son. She was shoved into a wall so hard her ribs cracked. I noticed that it could change people's attitudes on a whim all this time. Calm moments would become violent or unnecessarily angry. I was scared out of one of the houses because one of the doors was repeatedly slammed while literally, no one was home and I was simply waiting on the school bus. The only thing that could be argued spiritually when it comes to the houses is that, My dad's house was near on old torn down fort that was around back in forever ago... again, the fort is no longer there but, maybe that could have been part of it? The houses my mom moved to wound up being old mining houses that used to be connected by tunnels BUT... it just doesn't add up that one aggressive spirit seemed to follow my mom like a lovesick puppy and be a complete asshole. Now, let's get to recently... mom, unfortunately, lost a brother to suicide and she claims his spirit is around. My stepdad had a brother that did the same and he claims he's around too. What is strange is that they both claim to have seen a black hooded mass in their new house. They moved like, 7 years ago into a bigger home for my two younger brothers. They said they had been having bad nightmares and seeing shadows around the house. My mom said she had been seeing a child when my brothers were in school and that's when weird things would happen again. She heard a child singing, sometimes crying, in the kitchen when she was in the living room, you can see the kitchen from where she was sitting and no one was there, no kids outside, it clearly came from the kitchen. Before I cut contact with her, I would house sit here and there for a few extra bucks and I could not stay the night. I'd have gruesome nightmares and be woken by this odd jolting feeling. It was like being electrocuted but, with a sense of anxiety too. After I woke up, I felt fine though... I don't have any heart problems but, I do have anxiety so... maybe I can just write it off as just a nightmare that provoked an anxiety attack. However, I have never really had many nightmares in my own house. Take what you will from that. I did wind up coming across the black hooded mass though and I have never felt so many emotions and so much illness at once. I literally felt like I was experiencing anxiety, depression, rage, a headache, a stomach ache, and chest pains all at once and almost instantly before it dissipated moments later. It seriously felt like all of my energy was drained and nothing would ever be happy anymore in a matter of moments and it scared the shit out of me. Right before I cut contact with my mom, the final straw I had with the spiritual shit in her house was the day I brought my kitten over to her house when I first got him. I just feel I need to add that I am unable to have kids myself, so I adopt animals to fill the hole in my heart lol. Anyway, mom and my brothers wanted to see the kitten but, something just felt weird about that day and I couldn't explain why. I took my new cat to let them meet him and everything was okay, I still felt a lot of tension but, I still couldn't figure out what was wrong so I got a little more protective over the kitten as he was being cuddled and passed around. One of my brothers was still upstairs playing a game and I couldn't wait to show him off. I took my kitten in my arms and started to head up to my brother's room when I was pushed from behind, not a gentle push but, a push that was clearly meant to fuck me up. If I hadn't lowered one of my arms so my kitten could fall on a close step, he would have been crushed between myself and the edge of one of the stairs. The kitten was fine and didn't get hurt thankfully but, he was terrified and he would start shaking when he looked over my shoulder. He even started to bury his face into my arm as if he was afraid of something he saw. My cat kept looking around and shaking in that house until we got home and he was fine. I don't care if a spirit or demon kicks my ass but, as soon as they fuck with my animals, we got a big fucking problem. I have a million and one more stories I can tell you about the spirit that follows my mom but, that would probably be a book's worth of paranormal experiences. I have to wonder though... where exactly did my mom get this thing attached to her? Is there a way to get this "thing" to leave without hurting anyone? If it is a demon, what kind is it? Babbadook? Christian lore type? The ghost of a pissed-off chicken that KFC slaughtered? I've only been followed by it once and it was shortly after the kitten incident, it felt like it attacked me in my sleep and it oddly felt like it was trying to take possession but, I kept seeing a bright white light fighting to keep it back and away... but... even that could have just been a nightmare... it just felt way too damn real though, who knows. If anyone can help me at least better understand what the hell it is so I can at least repel things like it, I'd greatly appreciate it. I feel like this thing is just waiting to jump to someone else or fuck with people just because it can. Again, I wish I was kidding, I wish this was all hogwash and campfire stories but, no... this shit really happened and I want to keep it the fuck away from me and keep things like it away.
