JetBrains Rider is the first tool I install after repaving my development machine.
I haven’t launched Visual Studio for months after I switched to JetBrains Rider.
Working with branches has never been so smooth since I started using Jetbrains’s Rider.

JetBrains Rider is my C# development tool of choice these days on both OS X and Windows. If you’re a longstanding ReSharper user, you’ll find it to be an almost seamless transition. I highly recommend the developer-friendly keystroke navigation and fine grained debugger support.

I didnt like this song as much when i heard it for the first time, so i didnt really listen to it anymore. I think months or maybe a year after that, i discovered the song again. I was at a low point and i felt every moment of the song and fell in love. I suffer from panic attacks and this song helps me so much. From the moment the humming begins i feel my muscles relax and the panicy and anxious thoughts and feelings slowly leave my body and i just listen to the song over and over again till im relaxed again.

Ride Lyrics
[Verse 1]
I just wanna stay in the sun where I find
I know it's hard sometimes
Pieces of peace in the sun's peace of mind
Yeah, I think about the end just way too much
But it's fun to fantasize
On my enemies I wouldn't wish who I was
But it's fun to fantasize (Size, size)
[Chorus]
Oh-woah-woah, oh-woah-woah, I'm fallin'
So I'm takin' my time on my ride, oh-woah-woah, I'm fallin'
So I'm takin' my time on my ride
Takin' my time on my ride
[Verse 2]
"I'd die for you, " that's easy to say
We have a list of people that we would take
A bullet for them, a bullet for you
A bullet for everybody in this room
But I don't seem to see many bullets comin' through
See many bullets comin' through
Metaphorically, I'm the man
But literally, I don't know what I'd do
"I'd live for you, " an' that's hard to do
Even harder to say when you know it's not true
Even harder to write when you know that tonight
There were people back home who tried talkin' to you
But then you ignore them still
All these questions they're for real
Like who would you live for? Who would you die for?
And would you ever kill?
[Bridge]
I've been thinkin' too much
Help me
So I'm takin' my time
Takin' my time on my ride, woah-oh-oh (Wuh, yeah)
So I'm takin' my time on my
[Outro]
About “Ride”
“Ride” is about the journey of life. Throughout the song, Tyler’s lyrics indicate he feels like dying is easy, but finding someone or something to live for is life’s challenge, or “ride. ” The song contains heavy reggae influences.
The song also contains callbacks to various twenty one pilot songs, including “Heavydirtysoul, ” “Lane Boy, ” and “Ode To Sleep. ”
Does this song utilize any alliterations?
Yes. Lines like “Pieces of peace in the sun’s peace of mind” make use of heavy alliteration as well as the use of a homophone.
what do 21 pilots stand for?
The name “twenty one pilots” came to Tyler after studying the play “All My Sons” by Arthur Miller. In the play, a World War 2 airplane pilot knowingly sent out faulty, unsafe airplane parts. His decision resulted in the deaths of twenty-one pilots.
Why is this about Life
All of Tyler’s songs are about his life experiences. He does this as a means of therapy to help both himself and his fans.
Aren't the lyrics all my enemy's who wouldn't wish who I was
No, he is actually continuing the last non-repeating lyric. So, put together without the repeating lyrics, the first verse goes like this:
Pieces of peace in the sun’s peace of mind
On my enemies I wouldn’t wish who I was
Is there any imagery in this song?
Yes, there is. Tyler uses the sun, a ride, and bull ets as imagery in this song. You can find detailed analyses of each by clicking the links.
What do the lyrics "on my enemies I wouldn't wish who I was" mean?
Tyler is in a state of depression, and, no matter how much he may not like someone, he cares about them enough to not wish upon them the difficult struggles he faces.
What certifications did this track receive?
“Ride” was certified 6x platinum by the RIAA on October 18, 2019.

Flat Duo Jets "Introducing... " 1994 + Flat Duo Jets with Gene Maltais "Voodoo Woman" 1994 - 7"/45rpm
Introducing is another ripsnorting winner, mixing a handful of apt cover choices (including Otis Redding's "I've Been Loving You Too Long, " which gets tender, sensitive treatment, and Bo Diddley's "Pretty Thing, " which rattles like a jalopy going downhill with a busted axle as Crow attempts to demonstrate a three-handed version of Bo's signature beat) and a full supply of Dexter's originals. (Trouser Press) These are our boys. The most natural of musical traditions have coalesced into this fluid Rock and Roll unit. It is an expression of zen purity that is the true voice of guitar punkabilly in the lifted face of the Mtv quasi-reality our generation has been force-fed. There is no pretention in either my words or their music. It is all so real. There is no option but to believe it. "Hot Rod City" 1963
Recorded in 1963. [Originally released on Vault], the original LP version of HOT ROD CITY was performed by two basic groups of surf and hot-rod musicians operating under three names. The Grand Prix and the Quads were conceived by songwriter-producer Richard Delvy, and the Customs were conceived by songwriter-producer Gary Usher… …This 1995 reissue adds eight additional songs and alternate takes, including two previously-unreleased tracks by Delvy’s main band, The Challengers. The members of the Challengers also formed the core of The Grand Prix and The Quads. This release includes the alternate take bonus tracks “Candy Apple Buggy”, “Goin’ 88”, “Nifty ’50”, “Hot Rod City”, “Competition Coupe”, and also a few tracks that weren’t included on the original album; “She Rides With Me”, “The Blonde In The 406” and “Little Queenie”. Gary Usher and Richard Delvy, flush from their success with the top-ten album Shut Down (which they produced), was asked by Vault Records to try and duplicate that success on their label. Vault had already contracted surf-rock band The Challengers to play on the tracks, but never having written car tunes before, Usher was brought in to lend an authentic touch. Given three fictional group names to work with – The Customs, The Quads, The Grand Prix, and the aforementioned backing group, The Challengers, Usher also brought in friends Dick Burns (The Hondells), Paul Johnson, Bobby Hart, Paul Johnson, Dennis McCarthy and others to quickly shape an album of hot rod tunes in order to strike while the iron was hot. The resulting album, Hot Rod City, while no masterpiece, captures the raw energy of the drag-racing circuit, and includes several songs of interest to Beach Boys fans. Included are the previous Usher compositions “RPM”, a cover of Chuck Berry’s “Maybelline, ” and three Beach Boys songs, “Little Deuce Coupe, ” “Shut Down, ” and “409. - Surfadelic trax:

Scorched Earth Policy "Dust to Dust" 1984
Peter (nickname Buck) Stapleton (born 25 April 1954) is a musician from New Zealand. He is principally a drummer, although he has also contributed shortwave radio and tape manipulations to various recordings... …In 1976 Stapleton joined Vacuum, who went largely unrecorded. The band consisted of Stapleton, Bill Direen, Steve Cogle, Peter Fryer and, later replacing Fryer, Alan Meek. When Vacuum split, Bill Direen went on to form The Bilders, while Stapleton, Cogle, Tony O'Grady and Meek, along with singer/songwriter Mary Heney transformed into The Victor Dimisich Band, which released its first self-titled EP on the Flying Nun label in 1982. The Victor Dimisich Band disbanded, and posthumously released a cassette, Mekong Delta Blues, on the Xpressway label in 1988. Stapleton and Cogle went on to form The Terminals in 1986. Stapleton also formed The Pin Group with Roy Montgomery and Ross Humphries. Their 1981 "Ambivalence" 7-inch was the first release on the Flying Nun label. Another 7-inch, "Coat" was issued later that year, followed by The Pin Group Go To Town EP in 1982. The Pin Group then disbanded, yet reunited in 1992 for the "Eleven Years After" 7-inch. A compilation of these recordings was released in 1997 on the Siltbreeze label, and later in expanded form on Flying Nun. Stapleton formed the garage rock band Scorched Earth Policy, who released two EPs; Dust to Dust (1984) and Going Through a Hole in the Back of Your Head (1985). These recordings were later compiled and reissued on the Medication label as Keep Away From The Wires, and on the Siltbreeze label as Going Thru' A Hole In The Back Of Your Head. During the 1990s, Stapleton moved into more experimental noise music, forming bands such as Dadamah, Flies Inside The Sun, and Sleep. In 1996 he founded the Metonymic and Medication record labels. As of 2006, he plays in Dunedin rock trio Eye. - wiki members:

Recorded live April 7, 1990 at the Twist & Shout Club, Bethesda, Maryland except "The Black Widow" which was recorded at CBGB, New York City the following night. Roy Loney, former lead singer of The Flamin' Groovies, is captured live on this 7" EP (it has an LP - sized spindle hole and plays at 33 rpm). Loney reprises two of his early Groovies' originals - the tough rocker, "Second Cousin" (a nod to Jerry Lee Lewis), and "Evil Hearted Ada, " which evokes the Sun sound of "Mystery Train. " The remaining tracks are covers of "Rockin' in the Graveyard, " Link Wray's "The Black Widow, " and a medley of "Bop-A-Lena / Somethin' Else. The Straitjacket Fits "The Straitjacket Fits" 1998 - disc 2
"I will never forget Straitjacket Fits out-playing Jesus and Mary Chain at Sammy’s. Jesus and Mary Chain were at their peak too … they were minor next to the Straitjackets – do you hear me, MINOR! ” So says music guru Roy Colbert on Straitjacket Fits, Dunedin’s own entry for the title of “best band in the world. ".. …Straitjacket Fits were certainly one out of the box, a lightning-in-a-bottle rock band that turned the Dunedin Sound jangle on its ear. Evolving into one of the leading lights of Flying Nun in the late 1980s and early 1990s, they signed to major US label Arista Records, a move that promised to take them into the stratosphere of indie rock-dom, but didn’t – a move that in hindsight jarred with the band’s aesthetic. Straitjacket Fits are still beloved in New Zealand, with founding member, songwriter, and vocalist Shayne Carter considered an alternative rock figurehead to this day. - Audio Culture The noisy library of New Zealand music trax disc 2:

Joseph Reinhardt "Live In Paris" 1966
Joseph "Nin-Nin" Reinhardt (1912-1982) was the younger brother of the famous jazz guitarist Django Reinhardt and played rhythm guitar on most of Django's pre-war recordings, especially those with the Paris-based Quintette du Hot Club de France between 1934 and 1939… …From 1943 onwards he also made recordings which show him to be a gypsy jazz stylist of some distinction, and with his own guitar voice somewhat distinct from Django's. He was an early pioneer of the amplified jazz guitar in France and performed for years on a home-made instrument of his own design. - wiki trax:

Hasil Adkins "He Said" 1985 + "She Said" 1964 - 7"/45rpm
Hasil Adkins was a one of a kind rockabilly lunatic whose life and music were bizarre enough that if they had been a work of fiction, no one with any sense would have ever believed it...... A frantic one-man band who bashed out ultra-crude rock &; roll tunes about sex, chicken, and decapitation into a wheezing reel-to-reel tape machine in a West Virginia shack, Adkins spent most of his life making music in utter obscurity until he was discovered in the 1980s and became a cult favorite in the last two decades of his life. Hasil Adkins was born to a poor family in Madison, WV, in 1939. Adkins developed a passion for music from listening to the radio as a boy; one day, after hearing a Hank Williams record, Adkins struck upon the notion that since no one else was credited, Williams must have played all the instruments himself, and while in time he learned that wasn't the case, he had already begun teaching himself to perform as a one-man band, using foot pedals to play the drums while using his hands to rock out on guitar. While Adkins' roots were in country music, when rock & roll hit in the mid-'50s, he took to it like a duck to water, and after putting together a primitive home-recording setup, he began committing his own rockabilly songs to tape… - by Mark Deming trax:

"She Said" 1964 - 7"/45rpm Hasil Adkins (April 29, 1937 – April 26, 2005) was an American singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. His genres include rock and roll, country, blues and more commonly rockabilly, and because of his unusual playing and singing style, he is often cited as an example of outsider music. He generally performed as a one-man band, playing guitar and drums at the same time. trax:

The Straitjacket Fits "Life in one Chord" EP 1987 + "Hail" EP 1988 + "Down in Splendour" EP 1990
Life in One Chord is an EP released in 1987 by New Zealand band, Straitjacket Fits….. was the band's debut release. All of the tracks from the EP were later released as part of an extended version of their first full album, Hail, in 1989. All of the songs on the EP are credited to Shayne Carter/Straitjacket Fits except for "Sparkle That Shines" (Andrew Brough/Straitjacket Fits). "Sparkle That Shines" was released as a single in 1989. - wiki trax:

"Down in Splendour" EP 1990 The misleadingly titled Missing From Melt actually includes remixes of three album tracks along with two uneventful non-LP songs. Roller Ride boasts three live tracks; Down in Splendour combines some of the extras from both EPs. However, the Fits' best non-LP track is a version of Jean Paul Sartre Experience's "Flex" on the rare Roger Sings the Hits, a Flying Nun tenth-anniversary compilation wherein members of the label's roster cover each other's songs. - Jem Aswad / trouserpress trax:

Amy Rigby "Diary of a Mod Housewife" 1996
Amy Rigby's solo debut is a breath of fresh air: in an era dominated by overwrought, angst-ridden female rockers, the wonderfully titled Diary of a Mod Housewife offers deceptively simple songs which cut to the heart of what day-to-day existence is truly like for women in the 1990s… …Rigby's songs are miniature character studies which find the pointed truths locked inside seemingly mundane circumstances: "Knapsack" details a galvanizing crush on the boy who works at the local bookstore, while "Beer and Kisses, " an outstanding duet with John Wesley Harding, distills the sum of married life into the couplet "Get home from work, turn on the light/ Sit on the couch, spend the whole night there. " In addition to her knowing lyrical eye, Rigby is also a terrific composer who synthesizes elements of rock, country, folk and girl group-era pop; melodic and assured, Diary of a Mod Housewife is a remarkable and unique debut. "HIGHLY STRUNG" Instrumental Diamonds, Vol. 2
A whole bunch of fine and interesting British instrumental songs of the early 60's, almost all of 'em great, many put together by legendary producer Joe Meek….. the only stuff of this genre you've heard is American surf rock, you're in for a big treat here. Personal faves include fifth Beatle Jimmy Nicol's "Husky", which sounds like the theme to a lost Austin Powers movie, and Ahab and the Wailers' "Neb's Tune", which has the triple threat of a Middle Eastern-influenced Duane Eddy-style guitar, a whiny clavioline keyboard (ala "Telstar") and seemingly every piece of percussion the drummer could find in the studio (including gongs! ). The Straitjacket Fits "Blow" 1993
Blow, a word that evidently has fewer negative connotations in New Zealand than America, buckles under Paul Fox's uncomfortably slick production, but he's not the only one to blame for this album's lifelessness… …Andrew Brough's departure had apparently removed the creative tension that seethed throughout the band's previous work, and most of the songs are downright bland (an adjective that applies to none of their earlier material). Only "Train" and "Burn It Up" show any of the old glimmer, and they're both buried by a stifling mix and plodding rhythms. The band split up after a final tour in '93. (The Done EP features two non-LP tracks and different recordings of two album songs; If I Were You includes a remix of the title track as well as a pair of demos; Cat Inna Can features the non-LP "Sycamore" and a cover of the Sex Pistols' "Satellite"). Carter has recorded several tracks over the years (scattered on Xpressway and Flying Nun compilations and singles), solo and in collusion with Peter Jefferies. In '94, Carter formed Dimmer (which briefly included Jefferies), which debuted with a 1995 7-inch ("Crystallator") on Sub Pop and finally released an album six years later. - Jem Aswad / trouserpress trax:

The Raunch Hands "Bigg Topp" 2008
…“New” or not, I hear more bands nowadays that sound like they’ve been listening to Slint than sound like they’ve ever heard The Upsetters, much less could be capable of covering them (and no, I’m not talking about Lee Perry). Math was my least-favorite subject in school, I don’t want it in my rock. I never want to hear another “angular” guitar as long as I live. I say we need more bands like the Raunch Hands around. Like: any… …The Raunch Hands managed to do roots rock – blues, R&B, country, rockabilly, gospel – and make it dangerous, gritty, and punk-rock obnoxious. They did roots but were too raw and too punk to appeal to the ponytail-and-Hawaiian-shirt contemporary blues bore demographic. Yet, they didn’t have to resort to shooting fireworks out of their butt crack, drinking piss onstage, or wearing a smelly bunny mask and tighty-whities. It’s like the difference between Lee Marvin and Ryan Gosling acting tough onscreen. With one, I buy it. The other is just not convincing. The Raunch Hands could provoke an audience just by their sheer stage presence and capacity for alcohol consumption. Lots of bands invoke the lily-white violence of punk rock, but the Raunch Hands combined it with an R&B element that provoked hip-shaking and illicit thoughts of a deviant nature. Americans can handle violence, but throw sex into the mix and they get uncomfortable. - Rocket 808 trax:

"HIGHLY STRUNG" Instrumental Diamonds, Vol. 1
Listening to these 23 tracks is much like listening to someone from the U. K. speak. The language is basically the same, but it sounds different enough to make you cock your head and wonder if you heard correctly….. is what makes this disc appealing. American surf-and-spy music is about as overplayed as early Motown. “Misirlou” is a great tune, but it needs a vacation. These songs, while typically more polite than homegrown rave-ups, offer trebley twang and growling sax riffs that are both familiar and fresh. Not even one-hit wonders, many of the acts here were one-recording-session wonders. Not surprising then to find eccentric producer Joe Meek’s name all over the credits. This explains the heavy-handed echo and reverb effects on songs like the Packabeats’ version of Bobby Darin’s “Dream Lover. ” Mike Ford and the Consuls’ “Jump Jeremiah” is a baldfaced rip of the Tornadoes’ “Telstar”—Meeks’ biggest hit. Also odd is the fact that five bands are led by drummers: the Dave Clark Five (with an early single, “First Love, ” that owes too much to “Theme From A Summer Place”), Peter Jay and the Jaywalkers (the jingleish “Caroline”), Peter Chester and the Consultants (“Ten Swinging Bottles”—as the Vigilantes, the same band released “Man in Space”), and Jimmy Nicol, who once subbed for Ringo, and whose “Husky” is a tightly arranged, brass-and-organ shout-along. It makes no sense, but it’ll have you chanting “Husky! Husky! Husky! ” Why not? —Dave Nuttycombe, Washington City Paper

The Straitjacket Fits "Melt" 1990
On Melt, Gavin MacKillop's ultra-lush production blankets everything in a dense, hazy sound that at times blurs the instruments and vocals into echo-drenched sonic clouds… …While this approach occasionally yields mush, it also results in brilliance: a swooping, swooning, swelling, surging, soaring (and all that) rush that beautifully captures the intensity of the band's live shows. Melt features the Fits' best batch of songs, particularly "Bad Note for a Heart, " "Missing Presumed Drowned" and Brough's lilting "Hand in Mine. " - Jem Aswad / trouserpress trax:

"Hoosier Daddy" Mar-Vel’ & The Birth Of Indiana Rock ’n’ Roll - disc 3
Hoosier Daddy tells the story of the pioneering and industrious Indiana record man, Harry Glenn, and his importance in bringing country rock and roll to the state of Indiana. Indiana, the Hoosier State, is not one that immediately springs to mind when considering the great centres of American musical excellence in the mid-20th century… though the celebrated Vee-Jay Records was launched there in 1953, within months it had relocated to nearby Chicago. A host of jazz legends graduated from the clubs of the state capitol, Indianapolis, which had also played host to a lively blues scene in the 1920s and 1930s, but musicians tended to seek their fortunes elsewhere. By the mid-1940s, with the war effort in full swing, the influx of those leaving the southern states to colonise the north-western corner of Indiana, in pursuit of well-paid jobs was at an all-time high. While these migrants may have considered themselves neo-sophisticates with fat bank rolls in their pockets, they were homesick and pining for some down-home entertainment which was willingly supplied by other, musically-gifted migrants from Tennessee, Mississippi, Arkansas and Alabama. Into this maelstrom of musical talent entered a man with the desire to supply this untapped market, but not another Southern migrant Harry Glenn was a Hoosier born and bred... Hoosier Daddy is a massive 105-track 3 CD set compiled and annotated by rock & roll authority Dave Penny. In addition to long-cherished cult rockabilly favourites such as Bobby Sisco, Herbie Duncan, Chuck Dallis and Harry Carter, Hoosier Daddy includes a host of rare tracks from other more obscure performers, among them the first recordings of Jackie de Shannon. In addition to Harry Glenn and his Mar-Vel and Glenn labels, we also look at the other bastions of Indiana rockabilly across the state. All in all, a must-have for collectors of rockabilly.
