We didn't appreciate perfection when we had it. Nobody has ever delivered a song like Judy did.
Wasn't there a speech that Judy Garland did about the war.
@windstorm1000 I agree with all you said. It's really a touching scene.
No, a girl won't magically appear in your life if you stay home all day browsing forums, jacking off to porn, or watching Netflix all day. If you want a girlfriend or simply want to get laid, you actually need to get out there and interact with women. Which is why, i'm going to give you 10 possible places you can go to if you want to meet women. So without further ado, here is da list! Volunteer Somewhere. Volunteering can be a good place to meet like-minded people, and even people you want to date. A good place to volunteer is somewhere with a high concentration of women and ties in to your interests. If you're sporty, you can try volunteering for the special Olympics. If you live in a decent-sized city with a decent-sized college or university, the majority of the volunteers are college students between the ages of 18 to 25. Track & Field, Volleyball, and Tennis are good events to volunteer for. Volleyball obviously has lots of girls, and track & field has many volunteers so chances are you will meet girls. If you're into animals, you can try the humane society. Various online dating sites. There's the traditional mainstream apps such as Tinder and Bumble which has many users and is predominantly a hookup app. However if you're not having much success on there, there's always other online dating sites/apps you can try. There's a phone app called MeetMe, which is similar to Plenty of Fish except it is only for the phone and has a decent amount of users. There's also another dating app called Coffee Meets Bagel. There's the traditional dating sites such as OkCupid and Plenty of Fish. There's also Zoosk and There's niche dating sites. TasteBuds is a dating site which matches you with people based on shared musical interests. Find Meetups In Your Local Area at is a site where people post their groups around your location to which anybody can sign up and go to. For instance, St Louis web developers get together, The diehard lovers of tennis group, Alexis Texas fanclub, etc... Chances are you might find a group that interests you, so you should check the website out, Hey, you might meet the love of your life. ;) here is the link. If you're in college, through taking classes and asking them out. Chances are if you're taking a class with at least 20 or more people, there's a high chance that there's at least a couple of cute girls in there. So why not take advantage of it? Also if you're in college, by joining college clubs You probably won't meet the love of your life joining the chess club or world of warcraft club. Depending on the size of your college, there may be dozens of college clubs that you can join and chances are there is one that ties in to your interests. You may meet some cute girls in there. If you're religious, join a bible study. There's youth groups for those who are still in high school. But there's also college bible studies and even those for adults 30 or older. Salsa/Dance Classes The great thing about dance classes is that they are usually dominated by women. And even if you don't meet anybody, at least you have learned how to dance, ladies love a guy who can dance:) Meeting girls through your friends Chances are if you're like me and all of your friends are either nerds or animals, then this likely isn't an option. However, if you have friends who are either popular or know lots of people, then this can be an option. For instance, let's just say you're somehow friends with a sorority girl, well sorority girls typically have lots of "sisters". Maybe you can convince her to set you up with one of her sisters. You'll basically be a part of the family. The Dog Park First off, you need to buy a dog first. (or steal your friends dog just for the day) and then head off to the nearest dog park. Believe it or not, your dog can be your greatest wingman (wingdog actually) You just train him to run up to attractive girls and sniff and bark at them, then you rush on over and apologize for your dog's "misbehavior";) It's easy to start a conversation as well. All you have to do is ask her what kind of dog she has, your two start talking about your dogs, then before you know it, you're asking for her number. Hitting up random girls on your friends list through Facebook It's simple, just go through every attractive girl on your friends list and write them saying, Ayyyyyy gurl, lemme get dem digits. Don't worry, you'll only end up on Bye Felipe just a couple of times. jk, don't do that. Facebook is not a dating site. However in the near future, Facebook will be launching a dating feature on their site. You'll finally be able to hit up girls without being a creep. Through Daygame/Cold Approach What is day game? Day game is basically a form of cold approach where you are going around and talking to girls throughout the day time. (bars, nightclubs, and online dating is not day-game) For instance, you're at a coffee shop and you see a cute girl sitting by herself and you go talk to her, or you're walking down the street and you see this cute girl and you talk to her and get her number, these are examples of day-game. Why consider doing day-game? Well when you only try to meet people through either common connections or common events such as work or volunteer, chances are there are only a handful of girls that you may get to meet and there is no guarantee that they will be single and actually like you back. However, with day game and cold approach, there are hundreds of women you could talk to and potentially go on a date with. And unlike online dating, you're not competing with dozens of other guys for her attention. I'm not saying you should do day-game. You will probably get rejected a lot, but if you get good at it, you might have some success. Get rich and famous If you get rich and famous, you don't even have to chase girls, the girls will chase you.
I love Debbie, but Marilyn & Diamonds is a different next level more overt take. and still the best (inc Madonnas material girl.
I am only 14, however I am very well versed in older movies. One of my favorites is "Meet Me In. Judy Garland's presence is amazing in this feature. She can steal a scene from almost everybody. One person where her presence was equaled, if not surpassed, was Margaret O'Brien. Miss O'Brien won a Juvenile Academy Award for her part as 'Tootie. I found the love story between Esther and John quite believable, and the songs "Meet Me In The Cake Walk" and "The Trolley Song" very enjoyable. It was wonderfully acted, and is one of those movies that just makes you feel good, and you can forget about your problems because of watching it. I liked the representation of the year, and I liked the Halloween scenes with Margarget O'Brien and how she was so proud of herself throwing the flour in oakoff's (that may be spelled incorrectly) face. I also liked the sister relationships between Agnes and Tootie, and Rose and Esther. Katie the maid, played by Marjorie Main, was a riot, however I didn't like how she disappeared after the "Snowman Scene. Overall a wonderful '10 out of 10' movie.
The thing is long ago peoples voice was beautiful and soft and gentle and amazing but now on peoples voices, kind of weird and sharp and spiky and however you describe it so I think the old peoples voice is much much better than these peoples voices.
All I can say is though it's gone, be glad you had it. Some of us see scenes like this and can only mourn that we never did and likely never will. It is, without doubt, a beautiful connection.
So i really don’t know what the fuck i’m supposed to do right now. i met him at (what i thought was) rock bottom. he picked me up and we got into crazy shenanigans, as teens do. the only unusual thing was that we had this bond, even on the first night seeing each other. we talked about this unusual bond several times well into our relationship and we agree that there was something that pulled us together that was so strong, nothing could pull us apart. or that’s what i thought. we spent quite literally every waking moment together after that. he’d pick me up during the day, drop me off at my house for 2 hours at the very very most, and he’d pick me up again and we’d get into our nightly adventures. there was obvious tension between us at this point. one day, he tells me he “really, really likes me”. i say i “really, really, really like him too”. and we go on for maybe a day or two just knowing this. he asks me out, i say yes, and we’re in absolute ecstasy. everything goes amazingly for two weeks, and then he meets my parents. my parents loved him! they told me he’s a keeper and i was over the fucking moon. so he picks me up that night as per usual, and everything’s fine until about 2am. we were parked in an empty parking lot, just watching netflix. completely innocent. a cop pulls up to his car. we’re both scared shitless. he asks what we’re up to and we tell him. the trouble comes when he asks how old i am. i’m still a minor and he just turned 18 this year. (i’m over 14 y’all, it’s not too creepy i promise) the cop asks us to step out of the car and we obey because why wouldn’t we. they search him and the car while they question me. you know, questions like ‘do your parents know you’re here’, blah blah blah. *long story short, they find the weed in the car, my mom comes to pick me up and she’s fucking fuming. she tells peter that i won’t be seeing him for a long time and we look at each other in fear. i left my phone in his car knowing that i had another at home that my parents didn’t know about. he calls me crying at about three or four, saying that he can’t handle not seeing me. now i’d joked about running away in the past, but this is the first time i’d been asked to. (and it would not be the last 😬) he picked me up at 8am, just like we’d planned over the phone. we’re both crying tears of joy to be able to see each other again and spend the rest of our lives together freely and happily, or so we thought at the time. we live in the st. louis county area, and we drove out to central illinois. no plan really, we just knew that being together was enough. we got to a caseys general store and decided we couldn’t do this without a plan. we sat there calling a bunch of our friends, asking if we could crash on someone’s couch for a night while we figured ourselves out. when everyone said fuck no y’all are crazy, we just went back. won’t go into detail, but the cops were called after he dropped me off and my parents got a restraining order against him. you would’ve thought we learned our lesson, right? *absolutely fucking not. we ran away again the next day. we went west this time, planning to do farm work until we could afford a house together. he picked me up around 10, and we arrived in beautiful kansas city, missouri (taking a few stops to sleep) around 4am. we found a parking lot to sleep in and slept holding hands until around 8am. we did it! we ran away together! we drove into the city to see the sights and enjoy each other’s presence freely. it was still pretty early on a sunday morning, so the city felt a little dead. that certainly didn’t stop us from having the time of our lives though. we ended up at a mall around twelvish and we stopped to think a little. while we were stopped, he was getting absolutely gangbanged by texts and calls from his family and friends. they were all understandably concerned about us, and we found out that if he didn’t return me home within 44 hours, he’d be arrested on sight. we obviously didn’t want that, so we figured why not make some absolutely and insanely unforgettable memories whole we’re here? and we did lmao. on the way home, we were fucking broken. we knew that what we did was n o t g o o d and we probably wouldn’t be seeing each other for a while. we said i love you a million times and held each other’s hand the whole way. blah blah blah, he gets arrested for endangerment of a minor and trespassing and whatever. two weeks pass and we call each other every day. we’re absolutely aching to see each other again. i get a friend of a friend to drive me out to see him, and he tackles me to the ground out of happiness. this happens a couple times, and everything’s fine. *then school starts (sigh) school is very different for us with him as a senior and me as a junior. but that’s completely beside the point. he starts telling me about this girl in his rotc class that keeps flirting with him and the first few times he brushes her off with disgust. we hang out like three times a week after school, we call and text all the time, everything’s fine. but then he starts talking about her more and more and more. and i’m getting scared. this is already too long so i’ll cut to the chase. *he cheats on me with her and dumps me but pulls the “can we still be friends” bs and ends up being super manipulative and i had to block him it was getting so bad. what happened? what happened to the boy that saw me as his everything? i can’t listen to any of our songs the same way anymore, which is SO hard because music is a huge part of me and we had pretty much the same music taste. so uhh, help?
