The days are getting darker, the temperatures are dropping and the CFL season is nearly over. All that is left is for someone to be crowned the newest Grey Cup champion.
The 110th Grey Cup is set for today in Hamilton, Ont., as the Montreal Alouettes and the Winnipeg Blue Bombers go head-to-head in the CFL's championship game.
If Montreal fans are feeling like it's been awhile since they have watched the Alouettes in a championship game, it's because it has been. The Alouettes' last title appearance came in 2010, when Montreal defeated the Saskatchewan Roughriders for the organization's seventh championship.
The same cannot be said for the Blue Bombers. Winnipeg has been the West Division representative in the Grey Cup the last four consecutive seasons. In 2022, Winnipeg fell short of a CFL three-peat, losing to the Toronto Argonauts in the 109th Grey Cup.
In order to get to the Grey Cup, Montreal defeated the Argonauts in the East Final, while Winnipeg beat the BC Lions in the West Final. While both clubs are older members of the CFL, the two have never faced against one another in a Grey Cup.

Grey Cup 2023 Date and Time: How to Watch and Listen
For fans eager to catch every moment of the Grey Cup, here are your options:
Grey Cup Not On American television
The Grey Cup, a pinnacle event in Canadian football, will not be broadcasted on American television networks this year, marking a significant shift in the CFL’s broadcast strategy. Instead, the league is focusing on its own streaming service, CFL+, making the championship game accessible to U.S. consumers for free.
Despite the CFL’s lucrative deal with CBS Sports Network, which promised enhanced marketing of the league, the network did not include the Grey Cup in its 34-game package. This shift signifies the league’s commitment to its own streaming platform, CFL+, developed in partnership with Genius Sports.
The decision reflects the CFL’s awareness of its viewer demographics, as American interest in the CFL has traditionally been lower compared to Canada. The 109th Grey Cup, for instance, saw a viewership of 158,000 in the U.S., a significant contrast to over 3.1 million in Canada.
As the league continues to analyze its viewer data and streaming numbers, the focus remains on the upcoming championship game, where the Winnipeg Blue Bombers and Montreal Alouettes promise to deliver an unforgettable match for fans worldwide.
